Health & Device Integration
What Health Sync Does
Terrain Ready can read recovery and activity data from Apple Health (iPhone) or Health Connect (Android): sleep, resting heart rate, heart rate variability, heart rate, steps, active energy, weight and workouts. Recovery data feeds the recovery part of your Hunt Readiness score.
We only read. Terrain Ready never writes to your health data. Health sync is part of Terrain Ready Pro.
Connecting Apple Health (iPhone)
- Go to Settings › Connected Apps & Devices.
- Tap Connect next to Apple Health.
- When iOS asks, tap Turn On All, then Allow.
Connecting Health Connect (Android)
- Make sure Health Connect is installed (it is built into Android 14 and later).
- Go to Settings › Connected Apps & Devices and tap Connect next to Health Connect.
- Choose Allow all.
Your wearable app (Garmin Connect, Oura, Fitbit and others) sends data to Health Connect, and Terrain Ready reads it from there. Make sure your wearable app is set to share with Health Connect.
Wearables
Terrain Ready does not pair with watches directly. Any device that writes to Apple Health or Health Connect works, including Apple Watch, Garmin, Coros, Oura and Whoop. Direct Garmin and Strava connections are listed as coming soon in the app.
Disconnecting
- iPhone: Settings app › Health › Data Access & Devices › Terrain Ready, then turn off all categories.
- Android: Settings › Privacy › Health Connect › App permissions › Terrain Ready, then remove access.
